What is STROPS?
STROPS stands for STrengthening the Reporting Of Pharmacogenetic Studies. The STROPS guideline was developed with input from primary researchers, systematic reviewers and journal editors with the aim of improving the completeness and transparency of reports of pharmacogenetic studies.
The guideline consists of 54 reporting items, and sets a robust standard of reporting for pharmacogenetic studies. The guideline should be used in conjunction with the accompanying explanation and elaboration document.
STROPS is an ongoing project. We welcome feedback, and aim to address any feedback received in future updates of the guideline. We also welcome efforts to translate the STROPS guideline into different languages.
If you would like to send feedback, or to collaborate with us on translated versions of the guideline, please do not hesitate to contact us.
